Attendance is taken at every rehearsal. Students are responsible for checking in at the Attendance Table before rehearsal begins. Because tardiness is disruptive, we ask that musicians arrive at least fifteen minutes early to get new music and prepare for the rehearsal. All musicians should be warmed up, seated and ready to tune at the starting time of the rehearsal.

As a member of EYSO, players are expected to make rehearsals, workshops, camps, and concerts a priority. EYSO policy is four (4) absences allowed for the school year [two (2) per semester]. If you are unable to attend a rehearsal, it is important that you notify us in advance by submitting a yellow card at rehearsal or by mail. For illness, emergency, or unanticipated absences, please notify the EYSO Rehearsal Office by calling 847-214-7302 and leaving a message before rehearsal begins. Please bring the yellow card to the next rehearsal or mail it. We need a written card for every absence whether anticipated or not. Additional cards are available at rehearsals.

Parking

Parking on the ECC campus does not require a permit on Saturdays and Sundays. On other days, watch parking signs carefully. A ticket will be issued if you are parked in a lot that requires a parking pass. Other than Sundays, it would be best to use lots 11 and 12. Handicapped parking is available in front of the Visual & Performing Arts Building.
